This invention relates to facilitating the application of
perineal pressure during the anastamotic portion of the rapidly growing
minimally invasive robotic prostectomy, such as the DaVinci system. The
procedure is currently done manually by an assistant in a way that is difficult,
awkward and ineffective.
This invention is a simple and cost effective solution to
ensure application of consistent pressure with ease, accuracy and compatibility
with the robotic surgical system.
